Loop trail- Sendeiros Do Valga. An exciting hike through nature, mountain and river. There are 3 places to start this trail from. The parking lot in the picnic area of the Curro Da Valga on the top of the mountain. From a small village called Acevedo and from another small village called Mavia. The trail is well signposted so no need for maps or GPS. The only bad thing is the descent into Acevedo. Parts of the trail are really overgrown and it’s full of briars. So perhaps long pants might be better. The trail itself is moderate to difficult. You basically follow the river down to Acevedo passing a lot of old river mills. The ascent back up towards Curro Da Valga is steep at parts, and you pass a lot of wild horses along the trail. Overall it was a very enjoyable hike and highly recommended!
