This is a most enjoyable walk.
From the big parking adjacent to the sportfields in Thal, we took an obscure and at times steep track to the Scharfenburg. You could also walk around following a bigger track in the other direction if you want to take an easier approach to the Scharfenburg.
From the top of the tower of the Scharfenburg you have a fantastic almost panoramic view.
From the Schaffenburg to Seebach the track goes through the woods, passing the Thalsperre of Thal, and after leaving Seebach you will follow a track through the open fields, going up and down, going round the Grosser Ebertsberg on your left.
Shortly before reaching Kittelsthal, a beautifully situated village, you will pass a derelict mine, the Steinbruck Krumtsberg.
The track from Kittelsthal to the the picknick place in the open fields at 410m. that you reach after passing the Kirchsteig Hütte is exceptionally beautiful giving you all kinds of wonderful views. The whole range of the Grosser and Kleiner Hörselberge is clearly visible.
Going down first through the fields, then through the woods you will reach another beautifully situated bench with a very nice view and then descend to the Bergstrasse of Thal and go steeply down to the beginning of the walk.

Leuke wandeling met afwisseling. In het begin was 1 pad omhoog niet meer te vinden. Dus het eerste stukje liepen we door het dorp.
